The road was bumpy the raindrops were hard. I shook those cold metal bars, but they wouldn’t budge. I reached out my big fat hairy hand to reach the padlock with carving on it, but it wouldn’t move. Why did this happen to me? Why did I get taken from my family? I closed my eyes because I was so tired from the long ride.
A couple of minutes later I slowly opened my eyes and saw a little stick figure with her hand on the glass window smiling at me. I put my big, hairy, fat, hand on the glass window and smiled at the stick figure just like she did to me. I think she is a human. I also thought the stick figure, or human, had a connection with me. Again I closed my eyes thinking this was all just a dream. I felt drowsy I woke up, and the stick figure was gone. All the other stick figure weren’t there either. Where are they? I thought to myself. As I closed my cold tired eyes.
As soon as I opened my eyes, I felt tears run down my face. After bending down looking for ants, I felt like I had a heavy heart and I was really down, with pain in my back, missing my family and friends terribly. I thought I was going to be put down and at this moment I didn’t care if I was.
I slowly moved my sore and heavy body and felt soft wet stuff touching my body. I turned around and saw a jungle just like my home. There were leaves, trees, and a big peaceful lake. There were lots of other Gorillas too. I wasn’t going to be alone after all.
