I saw you standing there, and I tried to get to know you.
I heard you had a boyfriend, but I hoped it wasn’t true.
I realised only later what it was that I wanted.
And not too long after, the two of us bonded.
I told you my worries, and you told me yours
Then I told you a secret to keep behind closed doors.
I told you I loved you, but the words felt strange.
I began to realise there had been some kind of change.
What had I done, had I made a mistake?
I thought my feelings were real, but they must’ve been fake.
I broke it off, but I felt like a tool.
Oh god, I had been such a fool.
I made a big mess, and things won’t ever be the same.
I feel like I involved you in some kind of sick game.
I made so many mistakes, and I know I hurt you.
But I want you to know, that I’ve hurt myself too.
