Basketball. My pride and joy. The thing I enjoy most as a boy.
My role here today is to teach the way of play.
I’ll tell you what to do. The handles, all the moves.
How to weave through the grooves. Of the others on the court.
And all the mothers, who stare and watch in awe.
We shall proceed. Here’s the first tip you’ll need.
The way to play is just how I say.
It’s a game that can be played from December to May.
That’s not a locked in time frame.
It’s played all through the year. The playoffs are near.
But before we start - DO NOT forget your gear.
Now that you’re set. And we’ve properly met.
Let us get into it. The first thing will be.
To always use your knees. If you do you’ll make threes with ease.
It’ll be so simple, the opposition will be on their knees.
But the main thing - get the bloody ball. Into the bloody ring.
