Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock. Arabesque, Tick. Fouette, Tock.
My sweat covered body struggles up onto the top of my satin covered pain.
My foot gaping with a staining red liquid.
Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.
Time crawls away like a baby learning to walk.
Boom, boom, roars my chest as I search for any remaining oxygen or energy.
Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.
The energy in the room is full of concentration, blocking out all the distant clamour, and scent.
Tick, Tock. Tick Tock.
The class is nearly done, just dig a little deeper (mind over matter, I reassure myself).
Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.
Moving at the speed of light, moving aesthetically and technically to the music,
Everyday I try a little harder and do a little better.
Tick, Tock. Tick, Tock.
Slacking off will get me nowhere but with dedication anything is possible.
Although it is hard, on your body and mind, dedication is all I need.
