IT'S THE CHILD THAT MATTERS!

It’s your life that begins, as soon as that clock chimes in,
As happy as can be, the horror seems to let free,
It’s when it’s clear: Some children aren’t as smart as others,
But why do they have to hide under the covers?
They cry to their heart’s content, it’s something they can’t control,
Why don’t you ever think about that poor child’s soul?
A soul filled with the joy they contain, the intelligence not yet ready to sprout,
Think about it yourself! All this nonsense creates unnecessary doubt,
Sometimes bad, sometimes sad, sometimes mad, lesson after lesson their parents don’t understand,
A living being with the same emotions, children aren’t an item to brand,
The hole in their heart, the sobbing continues until dawn,
Is brain all there is here, where is the recognition for that child’s brawn?
Everyone has a talent hidden deep within, the mass been carried to lead to that big win,
Fall after fall, the trophy which they receive is the greatest of them all,
The love, the care, the sympathy, the belief, everything they lost when they were small,
Let’s bang the drums, parade around
