What Should I Buy?

It was December at school, and getting hot in the sun,
When my teacher told us about ‘Write4Fun’.
She said ‘write a story or poem, and win some cash!’
‘Just do your best, it doesn’t have to be flash".

So I thought about this and looked at the site,
And wow, my teacher was totally right!
Five Hundred Dollars? Is that seriously true?
This is something that I knew I had to do.

What could I buy with that much money?
So many ideas in my mind, some were quite funny!
An aeroplane, an island, or a huge pirate ship?
A rocket, a Lamborghini, maybe a world trip.

I could buy a house for my family in Hollywood Hills,
And they’d never be sad that they can’t pay their bills.
But I got quite a shock when I googled these prices,
So I’ll just buy a pizza – maybe 80 yummy slices!
