Swimming in the still water;
cool breeze chilling the spine
But the sun warms my cheeks
Balance and content, both are found.
I look across the water and the tall birds are all paired up
Only I, an alligator in a bird’s home
am left wandering all by myself.
I want to believe you are out there.
