Pocket To Another World

I have a pair of jeans that I bought on Boxing Day
But now I know they’re worth more than the $12 I payed.
I’ve lost my keys, some coins, a note, a pair of earrings pearled
It turns out my left pocket opens to another world
Sometimes when it is quiet I hear voices from within
I asked an online diction’ry what language they spoke in
It said ‘The closest match is Ogier, or maybe hobbits’
Then the internet exploded, I rang Google up to fix it.
One time I poked my fingers through to see how far I’d go
My hand and wrist just disappeared right up to my elbow
I felt some leaves and shrubs then tried to pull it out again
But something grabbed my wrist and made an investigation
I heard some talking, sniffing, and there formed a great debate.
The something on my wrist relaxed, I realised my escape
I pulled my hand back, washed it twice and settled from my scare
And now I never put my phone or purse or hand in there.
