When the morning comes, I wake up,
To the hawkers on the street.
Then off to breakfast, toast and tea,
I'm a child of the 1900's.
I walk to school with all my friends,
To learn my French and Sewing.
Cooking, English, then home for lunch,
I'm a child of the 1900's.
Afternoon comes, I do my chores,
Then out to the street to play.
Skipping rope, elastic, I play all day,
I'm a child of the 1900's.
When sunset comes, I walk on home,
I eat dinner, Rabbit Stew,
Then off to bed, oil lamps go out,
I'm a child of the 1900's.
