I feel the water against my skin
The tide grows ever weaker
The wind whispers, soft in my ear
“If thou desires, thy shan’t speak”
The fire spits embers into the air
Smoke, grey and thick, reaching ever higher
The grass, soft and emerald green
Dampened by the tears I cry
My mouth has forgotten how to smile
My eyes are glassy and dull
My heart speaks no emotion
My ears hear only the cries of a distant gull
My voice has forgotten how to sing
My soul longs to be free
My skin seeks to feel your light
For I am you and you are me
