There is a person on the earth, the most perfect one of all
Her eyes are filled with kindness, with pride she stands tall
We cry tears of salt water, full of misery and hate
She cries tears of rosewater, full of love and grace
Her smile is fixed on her face, her teeth a set of pearls
Her eyelashes as soft as lace, her smile as real as gold
When nothing's going right, she doesn't lose her light
When nothing's going wrong, she laughs all day long
She sees beauty in everything, she believes in happy endings
Whose tears are of rosewater when she cries? Whose smile is as soft as the skies?
Would you like to know who she is? The most perfect one of all?
Who it is, you wonder? I'll tell you whom, my little chum
One and all, come, come! Applaud the most perfect person in the world, for there only is one
Your one, my one, we all have one
Whether she be watching you from above, high up in the skies, or whether she be smiling at you, as to your puppy eyes she does succumb
It is none other than your very own mum.
