Why do we get to have a choice?
When others don’t have freedom of voice
Why is freedom for some a common right?
While others are slaves to the darkness of night.
Why isn’t the world always fair?
Everyone needs someone to show they care.
Is it impossible to treat each other the same?
Do we bully and wound just for fame.
If humans have been alive for millions of years
Shouldn’t we have learned to control our fears?
Don’t let insecurities be a plague in your mind
If we want to unite, we must always be kind!
Maybe one day we will all be friends,
Then cruelty in hearts might come to an end.
Generosity gently uncovered, now sitting in sight,
Here is our time to let our light shine bright.
