Battle Cries Of War

Soldiers young and old being
left with our country to change,
to unfold.
Risking their life for the safety
of mankind, while scarred
with memories of war in their minds.
Marching to what was about to be
war, puzzled with hesitation for
death and ruin could be the last
images they saw.
Silent, only familiar warriors
understand, the callous and greedy
people from other lands.
The price they pay for their
life also affects their husbands,
children and their wives.
