Leave.
Sing a little louder, block it out,
Voices combatting the endless silence,
Fight the shattering windows,
House teetering on the edge of collapse.
Doors slam and lips tremble.
Now.
He poured his tar filled mind over us,
Limbs sticking to everything I touched,
Maybe it helped at first,
To force everything to stay with me.
Deconstruct and remove yourself.
Please.
I can’t soak up all these tears,
Not when you keep returning to renew them,
You deserve to be worried,
To run it over and over in your head.
Shame me into forgiving you.
