Just a colour, A colour of the skin,
Disadvantaged, Harassed,
it’s more than a colour,
Their way of life doesn’t fit with ours they say,
Yet a rainbow has 7 different unique colours,
That each stand out, Yet together,
Bring wonder and imagination, To the mind of a child,
A rainbow comes after the darkest clouds,
To create beauty in the sky above us.
It’s their religion, their beliefs they say,
Religion. A story.
Variations of one story,
Yet the meaning and value remain the same,
To live a good life, To live in harmony.
So, tell me now,
That you have no more excuses.
Other than your own fear, Other than your own need to blame others,
For the life, Of choices you made,
To lead you here.
