Everyone tells me that the world is bright and colourful.
The colours make everyone smile and laugh.
But yet I wonder,
Why doesn't it work for me?
I get told that I never seem to smile,
They ask why I don't.
I tell them the pretty colours aren't home.
That they don't want to play with my vision anymore.
The pretty colours are gone,
Invisible for miles.
All except for one colour that people say makes you frown.
How come it makes me happy inside then?
The colour black has stayed with me for 2 years now.
Black is my favourite colour.
It's all I can see.
Maybe because my eyes don't want to work for me.
