Neon Soldiers

Back and forth we shot
Harmless little things here and there
We never held each other in the dark
It was just fun and games as neon soldiers
We did this everyday, all the time
Knowing it won't hurt
It would always go dark
When we hit home
But it wouldn't keep
Wouldn't stay long
Soon we'd be alight again as we were neon soldiers
And back to fun and games
It was a normal glowing battle
All fun and games, shooting aimlessly
Until the neon solider hit home and darkness claimed
And it stayed
