I wish I were at home,
Instead of here at school,
Eating lots of junk food,
Or going to the pool.
Why do they give us homework?
When we’re here for quite a long while.
Can’t they give us some free time?
To have some fun and smile.
I wish every day were Saturday,
So I could avoid that dreaded place.
But there have to be weekdays,
And be confined within that space.
I can’t wait to grow up,
And escape from this town,
But then I remember I have to get a job,
And then I begin to frown.
