Excellence Award in the 'Just Keep Writing 2019' competition

Sweet like candy on my tongue,
soft cotton texture tasty fun.
My very own winter in a cone,
ice-cream makes me feel at home.
Sprinkles on top like popping candy,
for drips a tissue comes in handy.
My favourite flavour is caramel,
when I'm sick it makes me well.
I buy ice-cream from a shop,
I never waste a single drop.
It gives me energy to run and play,
from morning till the end of day.
I wish that ice-cream grew on trees,
or was made in hives by honey bees.
I'd eat my share every day,
