Kangaroos bound fast
across the ochre plain
The spinifex grass, shaggy
like a roaring lions mane

Wedgetailed Eagles soar
through the deepest blue sky
lazy goannas sleep on rocks
while catching pesky flies

Campojng under a starlit sky
and sitting beside the fire
of this incredible bush life
I will never tire.
