The day we met
my world came alive.
The day you left
my world crumbled and died.

I tell myself
that everything will still be the same,
but reality hit me in the head;
you're never coming back again.

What we shared
was special to me,
but unfortunately,
it wasn't meant to be.

You made me senseless,
never calling or answering my calls;
you broke more than my heart
when you walked out my door.

I never said goodbye
because I didn't want things to end,
but I knew things weren't fine
around the river bend.

I've learnt my lesson;
I won't be a fool twice.
No one else will hurt me;
no one ... no one in my life.
