When Will It End?

It's like the whole world has gone insane.
Fighting each other, how inhumane?
We eat and breathe in the same air.
How can we not treat each other fair?
We only live once, that's all we get.
So why live life with so much regret?
We change if our friends don't like what they see
But we ignore a child pleading "Save me!"
They say they will solve all these ongoing crimes.
But they sit and do nothing, wasting their time.
Tears, fears, cries, lies, all are not recognised.
Rules, plans, protection all need to be organised.
How can we desire something so malevolent?
Harm and destroy the hearts of the innocent.
We must take a stand, offer a hand and be their friend.
If we don't start now, then when will it end?
