Poem Of Dreams

Everyday it’s on my mind,
The dream for success through acting I find,
My parents disagree and try to cause strife,
But to me acting is my life.
They claim that my dreams are nonsense,
I just want to hold that influence,
To push others to pursue their dreams,
To never give up no matter the means.
“you will fail, give up now” is heard on the daily,
Everyone saying that I am crazy.
But it’s not their life it’s mine,
So, I will show them in due time.
I’ve made sacrifices for this goal,
Attending auditions and missing out on school.
Even if I fail, I will be filled with pride,
Cause I know that at least I tried.
