Blood coils slowly down your cheek
There it rests and goes to sleep
These types of scars will go away
But the Scar itself will always stay
Most scars don’t hurt – not all that much
(At least the ones that you can touch)
But the Scar itself comes from the heart
There its destructive journey starts
It stays deep down for quite some time
And chants an evil, wrathful rhyme:
“Don’t try to run, don’t try to hide
I can see what you have kept inside.”
Then it implants the true scars of life
That sink deep down, as sharp as a knife
Most types of scars will go away
But the Scar itself will always stay
