I wake up, stare at the clock and gape- it was a scene.
It was nine-o-clock, I was late, on Friday the thirteenth.
I jump out of bed, into my pants and saw they were green,
I screamed, only could’ve happened on Friday the thirteenth.
I run out the door, in a frantic mess, without my daily caffeine,
I got several detentions, on Friday the thirteenth.
I dash to Science class, a black cat jumps right in front of me,
Hey, where’s my assignment? Left it at home? Only on Friday the thirteenth.
I stagger to the bathroom, needing to go, forgetting all my hygiene,
Whoops- I’ve now got arm gangrene, only on Friday the thirteenth.
I’m trying to warn you, be careful but don’t worry about me.
Why? I’m fading away! Only on Friday the thirteenth.
