The word goodbye.
Dangles about in our minds.
As if we spoke it,
it would bring our demise.
So we don't say it.
We don't say goodbye.
It leaves the texts open; the conversations,
are thought about for a while.
But one day, the last day,
I will message you goodbye.
It won't be the word that brings demise,
simply the word that says:
I'll see you in another time.
