in the depths of a very fishy business
a rummage through the crate of forgotton belonging
produces a long-desired commodity
Charming in its black and white simplicity

Hesitation for moments about its competency
follows; its old, abandoned and covered in grime.
When plugged in will it turn on, burn, or completely die?

Then: 2 blue lights flash
beacons of hope and prosperity at the end of
an exhausting and dispiriting shift

buttons click, levers clack, hiss, whirr, hum, drip
a miracle is performed
from nothing but milk and a coffee pod.
