Unfolding a locket

WHISPERS of a storm tossed sea,
Secrets of a white ribbon path,
Questions of a silhouette woman,
Murmurs of a long lost past.
THE clink of wine glasses toasting,
The swishing of a dresss unheard,
The cold comes closing nearer,
On wings of a gold ghost bird.
PAPERS on a polished desk,
A ink bottle's shattered shards,
Not a cloak hanging on a hook,
An upturned box missing cards.
SUCH are pages of a book so turned,
Of life from one and many learned,
So many stories that are kept untold,
In a locket packed away in folds.
