We Are The Generation Of Change

A rush of whispers, a flurry of words,
grasping the opportunity to be heard, listen.
Mutters hastily hissed, burning urges to talk,
Grazing this earth like a catwalk.
No one is fighting anymore, no one wants rights anymore,
we’re standing, but not up for anything.
These issues aren’t plausible now, your voice isn’t audible now,
You’ll speak but not to express, I don’t even want to ask how.
What do I have to say to inspire you, to desire you,
to convince you that this starts with you, roll the dice and take a risk.
Let’s give Aboriginals their rights, put climate change to a stop.
Let’s start giving more, together, we’ll make poverty rates drop.
Let’s join the protests, we won’t halt to second guess.
We are the generation of change, the generation of voices,
born to make a difference,
we are the generation of better choices.
