I've packed my clothes, my Sunday best
There is no room for all the rest.
I've packed my memories in my head
At night I will share them with Ted.
I've left my home, my own bedroom
I've left the smell of mum's perfume.
I've left mum, she had to stay
I wish she'd come with me today.
I've left my bike, my pride, my joy I couldn't bring my favourite toy.
I've left my friends, and all I know
I wish I didn't have to go.
I'm going on a train to stay with someone I don't know
I really want to stay, but something tells me NO.
I can only take one teddy but I want to take them all
I've left my mum, dad and family, even pictures on my wall.
I'll miss my favourite drink at night that my mum always made.
Without these things I feel upset and terribly afraid.
Ted is all I have now but he is so worn out.
Are we really criminals? What have we truly done?
