Shells and bullets fell like rain
As did soldiers fall in pain.
Wounded cried but dead just lay
they all thought it was their last day.
Defing sence and all the figures
This troop prevalled the ANZAC Diggers.
They came on thier horses, they came as one.
They fought untill the end, they fought and one.
When the war is over, when the germans surrendered
When the fighting has stopped and the killing ended
The diggers will be left, all standing tall
They will be known to one and all.
