Icy winds enclosing me
darkness pushing in on me
wanting to be free
snow flakes falling, white to white
surrounding me in an icy cage
craving warmth, a fire, anything
I need these short days to be over
the winter solstice come and gone
free me from this cold darkness
winter please be over
I yearn to see the sun
