I had a dog, I loved my dog
But one day she got sick.
She stayed in hospital for days and days
We hoped she would get better quick.

When we visited her she looked so sad
she wanted to come home, Dad told us she was sicker than we thought.
When she died that day she wasn't alone.

Dad stayed and comforted her until she fell asleep, I hope she's happy up in Heaven with Zoe and the other dogs.
But when I think of her I weep.

Lani was a beautiful dog
She was even older than me.
I miss seeing her everyday
Because she was part of my family.
