Be Bold
She patted down her golden curls and puckered up her lips,
She changed her clothes over and over so they’d hug her hips,
She turned again to face the mirror to see if she looked flawed,
With pride she turned, her work was done, and headed for the door,
She strolled to school, her face was fixed, she held her head up high,
People stared as she walked past they saw she glowed with pride,
Through out the day was compliments, directly to her face,
To only hear the nasty words of what they think they hate,
When she got home, like every day, to tare of her flawless clothes,
Even though she’s beautiful that’s how the story goes.
Do they really think that? Is that how they see me?
Questions that she asks herself far to constantly.
Society makes us all feel helpless and afraid,
Of anxiety, of other people and the judgment of great hate,
So this is for all the girls and all the boys around the world,
You’re far more beautiful than you told so stand up, be brave, be bold.
