Excellence Award in the 'Inspired 2019' competition
It feels like cold night air, gnawing through my soul.
It smells like fresh air weaving between the trees.
I see no-one, no movement and no noise.
A stream of memories run down my throat, tasting of grief and loneliness.
The breeze is quiet and soft, but the flashbacks are loud and unforgiving.
