Following the footprints on the sand.
Marvelling at them, before the waves wash them away.
Yet, the footprints stay imprinted on the ground, never forgotten, never lost and always there.
The waves came, continuing to crash against the sand, creeping over.
You continue to watch as the foot prints remain, unmoving and defiant.
Just a few steps in front of you.
In their shadows you continue to walk, amazed at how they stood.
Yet if you looked behind you, you would see your footprints, the ones that haven't been forgotten, just like the others.
The footprints you have made.
