The moon shines bright, contrasting the sun tonight
The tears of fire burning, hail from my eyes.
My heart breaks - Millions of glass shards shattered against the caressing sand.
Betrayal in my mind being a repeating tape;
Over and over,
And over again.
The whispers of lies dig uncontrollably into my brain.
Pretending to hide the sorrow but I can’t.
Illusions haunt my mind, constant.
The image of imprinted in my head with every shudder.
Soft words as the wind speaks to me, trying to comfort me,
No matter how hard I try,
I can’t forget, nor can I forgive,
Because what’s done is done,
Alone in the sand, wishing for the grains to swallow me.
Help me.
