There are heroes every day on Gallipoli’s foreign shores.
Men fall but there is one that nobody ignores.
His friends call him Zip because he is so fast,
He will not easily be forgotten with the others in the past
He ran through bullets saving men that he did not know,
It seemed like he was immune to bullets, but that was not so.
One day his luck ran out and a bullet hit its mark.
Zip no longer roamed the foreign shores for a bullet hit his heart.
