A signing of a name
In the bottom right corner…
A whistle and a whisper
And hence comes the black mourner
Dark feathers and soulless eyes
A tilt of the head
And he loudly cries
---
Grasping in his talons
Death takes the final letter
Flies out the window and up to the sky
Lays it in on a cloud with a painful sigh
---
Far down a smile remains where the winged creature once stood…
A once lonely girl given her chance
---
With a prayer
And a hope
Freedom at last
