Edney Echidna

Way back in 1902 there was a kangaroo that went by the name Kung fu.

One day Kung fu was sitting under a gum tree. “Ouch!’’ Kung fu had been bitten on the finger by what felt like a echidna.

So Kung fu hopped off to find old Koala Joe. Kung fu found old Koloa joe sleeping up the old gum tree.
“Wake up Koala joe!’’ Yelled Kung fu “I have come to ask about an echidna that bites off your finger’’.

“Well if you want some advice, go ask the mice on rice”, replied Koala joe. “I got bitten on finger by what felt like an echidna too”.
So kung fu hopped off to find the mice on ice. Kung fu found the mice on ice eating by the billabong. ‘’Hi mice on ice, I have come to ask for advice.’’


‘’And what would kung fu want advice on today?’’ Asked the mice on rice .
‘’Well koala joe and I have been bitten on the finger by what felt like a echidna.’’ Replied kung fu.
‘’Do you know who would do such thing ?’’ Asked Kung fu.
“Actually we might know who, it could of been edney echidna.’’
Said the mice that were still eating .


‘’ edney echidna! I know him, he is the cousin of my cousin Jeff.
I’ll go see Jeff he’ll know what’s best.’’ Said kung fu excitedly and he hopped off.
Kung fu found Jeff at his sister's birthday party playing musical chairs. “JEFF! JEFF!” Yelled kung fu over the music .

“What ooo look its kung, hey kung what you doing, come to join the party have you?” Said Jeff in an annoying teasing voice.
“No, I haven’t come to join the party. I have come to ask about your cousin Edney echidna.” Said kung fu slightly annoyed.


“Ohh are you talking about cousin Edney , the one that bites fingers. “Asked Jeff thoughtfully “yeah him I want to know how to make him stop.” said kung fu.


“Oh well there’s a really easy way, you just gotta say Ipsy gypsy mipsy lipsy stop and if that’s not working for ya then get me. I’ll teach him a good lesson.” Said Jeff .

Well that sounds easy, what could go wrong thought kung fu hopping off to find edney echidna. It took a few hours searching but kung fu found edney in his burrow getting ready for dinner at 6 o’clock .” Hi Edney “said kung fu nervously “yum yum fingers off a nervous kangaroo.” Said Edney with an evil grin.


Here we go thought kung fu time to say it “Ipsy gypsy mipsy lipsy
stop!” Yelled kung fu at the top of his lungs. Guess what? it worked! Edney stopped trying to bite off everyone’s fingers and started eating ants like a normal echidna .


“Hooray!”Yelled everyone when kung fu came back with a happy Edney echidna .
“Three cheers for kung fu” yelled old Koloa joe slowly “hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!”
