She skits and flits within its' shade
purple droplets fall like rain.
The early morning brings the warmth of noon
not unusual this time of year.
She spreads her wings to catch a breeze
hardly enough to disturb her violet floor
so she rests a little more.
The blue beyond the shielding tree, big and wide
would appear to eat this wren if she were to fly.
