A flower in a row of fields
Blending in, perfectly.
decorated petals and leaves,
That are Insecurely wielded.
Tied up to metal,
So, it doesn’t go crooked.
And be mistaken for a damp old Nettle.
The flower carries on, fighting its endless battle.
Suffering, in silence.
If it whines, or complains, or reaches out, the flower worries it will be called vain.
They think if it’s beautiful it doesn’t have a brain
Pain.
If a flower is not pretty enough, or too pretty,
Other plants will point it out, and the flower will feel pain
Not the pain where you graze your knee,
But the pain one suffers emotionally.
