On that starry night, just to be there was such a delight. I looked up, into those bright, white lights.
Look how pretty those stars are tonight.
We drove all the way up North, just to be there on the 4th.
When we arrived, we lit a fire; sat around it, that satisfied my desire.
We toasted marsh mellows, as crispy as can be; the fireflies liked them to, we guarantee!
We told funny stories, under the moonlight; who’d ever thought, we’d be up past midnight?
Before to long, the sunlight shone, it’s time to turn the kettle on!
Driving back home, I had an inkling; that I saw a star twinkling!
