My words weren’t unheard but rather, were unable to be uttered
upon the most luminous of days was when the secret was uncovered
His wish for me was to be unburdened and free
Deafening was my symphony of silent pleas
Blood-tilled soil, the ground had dampened with his remains
Abandoned I was, left with nothing but pain
like a small frightened mouse I ran, fuelled by desperation
Thumping, Thumping, Thumping, a continuous pulsation
an unnerving beat with a tremulous effect
for how long shall my Heart continue to recollect?
easily lulled by my view of a perfect world, a mere illusion
with no longer a reason, my life had reached its conclusion
Plagued by weakness and undistinguished nerves
To what purpose does my heart serve?
but for nothing than to constantly ache and beat,
Thumping, Thumping, Thumping, a haunting eternal bleat
