The birds squawked; the sky was dark, grey and stormy
The breeze ruffled through my hair and my dress
The sand tickled my feet as the water lapped against the rocks
The ocean was so still, so quiet, as though it were frozen in time.
Then the waves came crashing down
A flicker of lighting followed by a rumble of thunder set the evening alive
The rain came pouring and the birds flew to safety
Shouts of fright came from the shoreline as people fled for cover
Then, there was silence and the world slowly returned to normal.
