Poppies under the crosses we place
In memories of the ones we’ve lost
Through tears of misery, we express our love
To these lives, there is no cost

Abandoning their families they stood up for you and I
For I say we’ve never met 'em before
To a stranger, not a shed of blood would they resist to offer
As they selflessly repel to ignore

The love they showered upon us all
Can never be repaid through words of sorrow
Those memories that bring back tears and regret
For those valiant warriors, our love shall grow

To the dauntless soldiers who brought honour to this country
To the determined Diggers who had never failed to fulfil their part
We shall start our journey in seek of pride and respect
In honour of those, we keep close to our heart…
