A forgotten grave stone

Sitting alone in a shadowy graveyard sat a forgotten gravestone.
The gravestone had his surname but nothing was said of his first.
The gravestone had his date of death but nothing was said of his short life.
The gravestone said he was a private though he was a farmer.
The gravestone mentioned nothing of his family though he was a father of three.
Maybe one day his family will find his final resting place but for now he will
Rest in peace.
