Be A Penguin

"Any life is as valuable,
even if their life is a lie,"
Hope spoke in her soft tone.
Hope seems oh so smart.
"Be a penguin; try not to fall apart,
For they can't fly but still thrive."

But angels can fly.
Angels are dead works of art.
Could I not be with the angelic few?
Being one just means my heart
Gives one last coo.
Then finally, it will rest.

"Be a penguin, at least," said Hope.
Hope has such pretty a crest.
It almost makes me try to cope.
But the angel also has pretty wings.
