Excellence Award in the 'The Inside Story 2020' competition

So I did.
I made my way past the barriers,
Pushed my way past the ones who said “You can’t”
So I did.
Made it through the night. Now I’m shining bright.
Watch me enter
I’m unexpected.
No one thought I’d be here.
Hatred and tears
They were my worst fears
And people said I couldn’t.
But guess what.
I just did.
