I am

I Am

I am the school bag, dragged along the path.
I am the library book, checked out too many times.
I am the sole of a shoe, trodden on many grounds.
I am a light bulb, flickering on and off in a dark room.
I am a playful kitten, trying to bite a hand.
I am the hospital bed being used everyday.
I am a wave crushing on the sand sprinkling white spray.
I am a piece of seaweed washed away.
I am the sailing boat, way out at sea.
I am the favourite pencil, too small for a hand to hold.
I am a seagull soaring in the clouds
...I am anything but ordinary.
